Three Little Sisters Vanished in the Night — Hours Later, They Were Found in a Pond

Cass County, Texas — July 29–30, 2022

Their mother was at work.

Her cousin, Paris Propps, was at the family’s home near Atlanta, Texas, babysitting her 6 children.

By the end of the night, 3 of those children were gone.

Te’Mari Robinson-Oliver was 5.

A’Miyah Hughes was 8.

Zi’Ariel Robinson-Oliver was 9.

Three little sisters disappeared from their home.

Hours later, all 3 would be found dead.

The Sisters Are Reported Missing

Around 9:00 p.m. on July 29, 2022, Te’Mari, A’Miyah and Zi’Ariel were reported missing.

Law enforcement officers, emergency crews and volunteers immediately began searching for the girls.

Then clothing and shoes were discovered near a private pond on neighboring property off Highway 77.

Divers entered the water.

Between approximately 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. on July 30, the bodies of all 3 sisters were recovered from the pond.

At first, authorities considered the possibility that the children had accidentally drowned.

Months later, their autopsies revealed something far more disturbing.

Their Deaths Were Not Accidental

Te’Mari, A’Miyah and Zi’Ariel had been strangled.

The girls had also suffered lacerations to their faces.

In March 2023, their deaths were officially classified as homicides.

Their mother, Shammaonique Oliver-Wickerson, had gone to work believing her children were safe.

She would eventually learn that her 3 daughters had not accidentally wandered away and drowned.

Someone had killed them.

Questions About What Happened That Night

Attention has long surrounded the events at the family’s home on the night the sisters disappeared.

Paris Propps, their mother’s cousin, had reportedly been living with the family and was left in charge of the girls and their 3 other siblings that night.

According to a neighbor’s account, Propps came to the neighbor’s home at approximately 9:00 p.m. to use a phone to contact Shammaonique and report that the sisters were missing.

The neighbor reportedly told investigators that Propps was soaking wet from the waist down.

Investigators also reportedly collected DNA from underneath his fingernails the following day.

However, Paris Propps has not been charged with the murders of Te’Mari, A’Miyah and Zi’Ariel, and authorities have not publicly identified him as their killer.

Investigators Continue Searching for Evidence

Investigators have examined physical evidence as well as digital geofence data while attempting to determine exactly what happened to the sisters.

Authorities have said the girls’ submersion in water limited the amount of DNA evidence that could be recovered.

Despite years of investigation, no arrests have been made.

In May 2026, the Texas Rangers and the Cass County District Attorney’s Office again appealed to the public for information, confirming that the triple homicide remained under active investigation.

Their Mother Is Still Waiting for Answers

Shammaonique has spent years demanding answers while also trying to remain strong for her surviving children.

She went to work that night with 6 children.

While she was gone, 3 of her daughters disappeared.

Hours later, they were recovered from a pond.

Months later, she learned that they had been strangled before their bodies entered that water.

Te’Mari was only 5.

A’Miyah was 8.

Zi’Ariel was 9.

More than 4 years have passed since the sisters were killed, and no one has been held accountable for their murders.
